Well this is the phase, stage, and age that we dreaded when we decided to have “#3”. Having a newborn is tough, that is for sure. But, having a stubborn screaming 1 year old who only wants to play at 1 a.m. is tough too. I get asked all the time, how do you get so much knitting done with three kids – answer is, we’re all up REALLY LATE! We do our best to encourage him to sleep but won’t let him cry (I’ve been given this advice WAY TOO OFTEN). This littlest babe of mine will eventually figure out the sleep thing and it would be nice if we could all get some beauty rest. Many nights there are at least two of them in bed with me. I try not to complain too much because when it is all said and done and all the littles in our house are older and sleeping in their own beds, we will miss cuddling with them. So, if you find me online in the middle of the night, I’m probably not alone.
I never thought I would have a “girly girl” but at the ripe old age of almost 6 years my daughter is the most girly girl I know and not only that, she has entered the “but my friends have it” stage! So that being said, she needed new boots this year. I’ve seen some nice ones around but they come with flowers on them and they are expensive. I have 2 boys who will have to wear these same boots later on. So I told my daughter she could have them but only if they were plain. “NO, I want PINK! “ After two days of realizing that she wasn’t going to get pink boots, we came to a compromise. Crocheted flowers !
